How to become an NDM member is a pertinent question for Kenyans seeking to align with a party that champions peace, prosperity, and progress. The National Democratic Movement (NDM) was officially registered on April 25, 2012, under certificate serial number 011. The party’s headquarters are located at Gloria Street, Ondiri Junior Academy, Kikuyu, with a postal address of P.O. Box 10446-00100 Nairobi. NDM operates under the slogan “Peace, Prosperity & Progress” and uses the sunflower as its symbol. ORPP
Step 1: Resign from Your Current Political Party
Before registering with NDM, you must resign from your current political party.
*Option A: Resign via USSD Code 509#
- Dial
*509#on your mobile phone. - If you’re a first-time user, register by entering your ID number and first name as they appear on your national ID.
- You’ll receive an ORPP PIN via SMS.
- Dial
*509#again and enter your PIN. - Select “Membership”, then choose Option 3: Resign.
- Confirm your details to complete the resignation process.
Option B: Resign Online via the ORPP Portal
- Visit the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS) or log in through eCitizen.
- Register or log in using your ID number and first name.
- Navigate to “Membership Resignation” under your account.
- Confirm your resignation by following the on-screen prompts and entering the OTP sent to your phone.
- Check your registration status to ensure you are no longer affiliated with any party.
Step 2: Register as an NDM Member
After successfully resigning from your previous party, you can now register as a member of NDM.

- Dial
*509#again. - Enter your ORPP PIN.
- Select “Membership”, then choose “Join a party”.
- Enter the party name: National Democratic Movement.
- Enter the party code: 011.
- Provide your county, constituency, and ward codes as prompted.
- Confirm your details to complete your registration as an NDM member.
Option B: Register Online via the ORPP Portal
- Log in to the IPPMS portal or through eCitizen.
- Go to the “Join a Party” section.
- Select National Democratic Movement (NDM) from the list.
- Fill in your details and submit your application.
- Wait for confirmation from the party; your membership will be updated once approved.
