How to Become a National Vision Party Member Today

How to become a National Vision Party member is a crucial question for Kenyans looking to align with the National Vision Party (NVP). Whether you’re shifting from a different political outfit or joining for the first time, the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has made the process easy and digital. Follow this guide to resign from your current political party and register with NVP using either the USSD option or the ORPP web portal.

    • Step 2: Join the National Vision Party (NVP)

Step 1: Resign from Your Current Political Party

Before joining the National Vision Party, you must first resign from your present party affiliation.

Option A: Resign via USSD Code *509#

  1. Dial *509# on your phone.
  2. First-time users must register using their ID number and first name.
  3. You’ll receive a personal ORPP PIN via SMS.
  4. Dial *509# again and enter the PIN.
  5. Choose “Membership”, then select Option 3: Resign.
  6. Confirm your resignation details and submit.

Option B: Resign Online via the ORPP Portal

  1. Visit https://ippms.orpp.or.ke or log in via eCitizen.
  2. Register or sign in using your national ID number and first name.
  3. Go to the “Membership Resignation” section.
  4. Enter the OTP sent to your phone and confirm resignation.
  5. Check your registration status to confirm successful resignation.

Step 2: Join the National Vision Party (NVP)

Once your resignation is processed, you can register with the National Vision Party.

Option A: Register via USSD Code *509#

  1. Dial *509#.
  2. Enter your ORPP PIN.
  3. Select “Membership”, then choose “Join a party”.
  4. Input party name: National Vision Party.
  5. Enter the party code: 070.
  6. Provide your county, constituency, and ward codes.
  7. Confirm all your details and submit to finalize registration.

Option B: Register Online via the ORPP Portal

  1. Log in to the IPPMS portal or through eCitizen.
  2. Navigate to “Join a Party”.
  3. Select National Vision Party (NVP) from the party list.
  4. Fill in all required details and submit.
  5. Await official confirmation of your membership.

Important Tips

  • Ensure your ID and mobile number are correctly entered.
  • Use the same number for both resignation and registration.
  • For help, contact the ORPP website or visit NVP’s official office.
