Fena Gitu (born 25 April 1991) is a Kenyan rapper, songwriter, producer, and fashion entrepreneur, popularly known as the “Fenamenal Woman.” She is best known for her hit single “Doing Her Thing Tho” and her unique blend of Afro-urban sounds with socially conscious themes. Beyond music, she is a brand ambassador, fashion collaborator, and one of the most influential female figures in Kenya’s entertainment industry.
Early Life and Education
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Fena Gitu attended Precious Blood Secondary School (Riruta). She later studied International Relations and Psychology at the United States International University (USIU). Though she started her career in gospel music, her passion evolved into hip hop and Afro-fusion, where she carved a space for herself as one of Kenya’s most recognizable voices.
