Amani Gracious (born 8 May 2005), popularly known as Amani G, is a Kenyan gospel singer who rose to fame in 2018 after her soulful cover of Alicia Keys’ hit Girl on Fire went viral on social media. The performance, recorded when she was just 13 years old, captured international attention, including that of Alicia Keys herself, and catapulted her into the Kenyan gospel music scene.
Early Life
Amani Gracious was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. From a young age, she displayed a natural talent for singing, often performing in church and school functions before her breakthrough moment on social media.
Breakthrough and Early Career
Her viral rendition of Girl on Fire brought her instant recognition, attracting the interest of Pine Creek Records, who signed her soon after. Under the label, she released her debut single, “Sitasahau,” marking her formal entry into the gospel industry.
In 2018, she followed up with several collaborations, including “In Love” featuring Vivian, “Ni poa” featuring gospel artist Pitson, and “Asante” featuring her younger sister, Pendo.
That same year, she launched her debut album, My Reflections at 13, at Alliance Française in Nairobi to a sold-out audience. The project showcased her vocal maturity and versatility despite her young age.

In 2019, Amani G was double-nominated for the Maranatha Global Awards and later won the Young Groover Award at the Groove Awards. She was also nominated in the Best Collaboration category for “Ni poa.”
