You can send money from Kenya to Nigeria on your mobile through various international money transfer services such as WorldRemit, Mukuru, Afriex, and Paysend. These services offer options for transfers to bank accounts, cash pickup locations, and in some cases, mobile money accounts.

Using WorldRemit

WorldRemit allows transfers to bank accounts, for cash pickup, or directly to a mobile money account (like OPay/Paga Money) in Nigeria.

  1. Create an account on the WorldRemit app or website.
  2. Select Nigeria as the destination country and choose your preferred receive method.
  3. Enter the recipient’s details, such as their full name and mobile money account number or bank details.
  4. Enter the amount in Kenyan Shillings (KES) you wish to send and pay for the transfer using a bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.
  5. Funds are often available within minutes.

Using Other Mobile Transfer Providers

  • Afriex: This service offers instant transfers with competitive exchange rates directly to Nigerian bank accounts through its mobile app.
  • Mukuru: The Mukuru app facilitates cash collection at various partner locations in Nigeria.
  • Paysend: Offers fee-free transfers to Nigerian bank accounts, typically completed within an hour of sending. You can register and use the Paysend app to send money.
  • Western Union: You can use the Western Union app to send funds to major bank accounts in Nigeria or for cash pickup at agent locations.

It is recommended to compare the exchange rates and fees across different providers to find the most cost-effective option for your specific transfer.
