Razr Ultra 2025

Motorola has reduced the price of the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 to $800 in the United States, offering the 1TB storage variant at a significant discount as competition intensifies in the foldable smartphone market.

The promotion cuts roughly $700 from the device’s original price and also includes a free pair of Moto Buds 2 Plus earbuds, which recently launched with a retail price of $150.

The Motorola Razr , sometimes stylized motorola razr, is a brand of mobile phones manufactured by Motorola Mobility (previously Motorola, now a division of Lenovo), currently consisting of foldable clamshell smartphones. The Razr name was introduced with the V3 model (then styled RAZR, also MOTORAZR) in 2004, which became extremely popular. The line was succeeded by the Motorola Razr2 flip phones in 2007. The Razr later evolved into a line of non-clamshell devices in 2011, Droid Razr (known simply as the “Motorola RAZR” on non-Verizon networks), bearing design similarities to the originals. Razr was revived again in 2019, this time evolving into a line of all-screen clamshell foldables that continues to this day.

Razr Ultra 2025 Discount Highlights Pricing Shift

The discounted Razr Ultra 2025 now costs the same as the standard Razr 2026 model despite offering higher-end specifications and larger storage capacity.

Motorola’s newer Razr 2026 lineup launched with higher pricing, with the Razr Ultra 2026 reaching $1,500 for the 512GB version. Analysts say the pricing gap has made the older flagship model a more competitive option for buyers seeking premium foldable hardware.

Razr Ultra 2025 Keeps Similar Hardware

The Razr Ultra 2025 retains many of the same core specifications found in the newer Razr Ultra 2026. Both devices use similar chipsets, although the newer model reportedly includes a slightly overclocked version.

Other upgrades in the 2026 edition include a brighter display, a new LOFIC camera sensor and a battery increase of approximately 300mAh. However, the overall design and hardware approach remain largely unchanged.

Free Moto Buds 2 Plus Included

As part of the promotion, Motorola is bundling the new Moto Buds 2 Plus at no additional cost.

The earbuds feature active noise cancellation supported by six microphones and offer up to nine hours of continuous playback. They also support Hi-Res Audio using the LHDC codec.

Pantone Partnership Continues

The Razr Ultra 2025 remains available in several Pantone-inspired colour options, reflecting Motorola’s ongoing branding partnership with the colour standards company.

Available finishes include Scarab, Cabaret, Mountain Trail and Rio Red.

Foldable Market Competition Intensifies

The aggressive Razr Ultra 2025 discount highlights increasing competition within the foldable smartphone sector as manufacturers attempt to balance premium pricing with consumer demand.

Foldable devices continue to face pressure from rising component costs and slower adoption rates compared with traditional smartphones.

Outlook for Razr Ultra 2025

The current pricing strategy could help Motorola clear existing inventory while maintaining interest in its foldable lineup ahead of future releases.

Analysts expect further pricing adjustments across the foldable market as manufacturers compete for buyers in an increasingly crowded premium smartphone segment.
