David Mathenge (born 1 August 1976), popularly known by his stage name Nameless, is a Kenyan Afropop musician, songwriter, and architect. Nameless was born in Nairobi, Kenya, on 1 August 1976. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in both music and design, balancing his creative passions with academic pursuits.

He pursued higher education at the University of Nairobi, graduating with a degree in architecture. His training in design would later parallel his musical career, as he seamlessly combined artistry and discipline in both professions.

Nameless’s breakthrough came in 1999, when he won a star-search contest on Capital FM with his self-written hit Megarider. The single propelled him to national fame, positioning him at the forefront of Kenya’s then-growing urban music scene.
