List of Elected Senators in Kenya 2022 – 2027. The Senate of the Republic of Kenya is one of the two Houses of the Parliament of Kenya, along with the National Assembly. The Senate was first established as part of Kenya’s 1963 Constitution.
After being abolished in 1966, the Senate was re-established by Article 93 of the new 2010 Constitution to represent counties‘ interests as well as pass legislation concerning counties.

The powers and role of the Senate in Kenya are as follows:
- Empowered to represent the interests of the counties and their governments
- Participates in law-making by considering, debating and approving bills concerning counties
- Determines allocation of national revenue among counties.
- Has powers of impeachment over the president, deputy president, county governor, and deputy governors

- Mohamed Faki Mwinyihaji (ODM) was re-elected senator for Mombasa with 113,694 votes. Hamisi Mashobo Mwaguya (UDA) was second with approximately 76.069 votes.
- Issa Juma Boy (ODM) was re-elected senator for Kwale receiving 52,772 of the valid votes cast. Anthony Nyawa Yama (UDA) was second with approximately 41,672 votes.
- Stewart Mwachiru Shadrack Madzayo (ODM) was re-elected senator for Kilifi receiving 144,740 of the valid votes cast. Benjamin Kai Chilumo (PAA) was second with approximately 69,917 votes, and Alex Shukran Mwabonje (UDA) third with approximately 46,063 votes.
- Danson Buya Mungatana (UDA) was elected senator for Tana River receiving 34,129 of the valid votes cast. Hassan Abdi Dukicha (Jubilee Party (JP) was second with approximately 18,082 votes, and Ali Abdi Bule (Federal Party Of Kenya (FPK)) third with approximately 14,157 votes.
- Joseph Githuku Kamau (JP) was elected senator for Lamu receiving 12,091 of the valid votes cast. Yusuf Mahmoud Aboubakar (ANC) was second with 11,875 votes, and Ahmed Bunu Haji (ODM) was third with 8,688 votes.
- Johnes Mwashushe Mwaruma (ODM) was re-elected senator for Taita Taveta receiving 39,142 of the valid votes cast. Godwin Kilele Mwamodo (JP) was second with 26,158 votes.
- Abdulkadir Mohammed Haji (JP) was re-elected senator for Garissa receiving 72,383 of the valid votes cast. Mohammed Issack Shale (Forum for Restoration of Democracy – Kenya (FORD-Kenya) was second with 19,279 votes.
- Abass Sheikh Mohamed (UDM) was elected senator for Wajir receiving 36,201 of the valid votes cast. Shallow Abdullahi Yahya (UDA) was second with 23,580 votes, as per provisional IEBC results.
- Ali Ibrahim Roba (UDM) was elected senator for Mandera receiving 53,861 of the valid votes cast.
Mohamed Maalim Mahamud (Independent) was second with 43,843 votes. - Mohamed Said Chute (UDA) was elected senator for Marsabit receiving 41,760 (36%) of the valid votes cast. Adan Hassan Sheikh Sele (KANU) was second with 23,206 (20%) votes.

- Agnes Kavindu Mbuku Muthama (WDM) was re-elected senator for Machakos receiving 155,883 of the valid votes cast. Urbanus Mutunga Muthama Ngengele (Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)) was second with 65,603 votes.
- Daniel Kitonga Maanzo (WDM) was elected senator for Makueni receiving 177,273 of the valid votes cast. Kivutha Kibwana (Muungano Party) was second with 59,034 votes.
- John Muhia Methu (UDA) was elected senator for Nyandarua receiving 158,096 (67%) of the valid votes cast. John Kinyanjui Theuri (independent) was second with 36,920 (16%) votes and Paul Githiomi Mwangi (independent) was third with 18,244 (8%) votes.
- Wahome Wamatinga (UDA) was elected senator for Nyeri receiving 221,664 (67%) of the valid votes cast. Priscilla Nyokabi Kanyua (Jubilee Party (JP)) was second with 70,818 (22%) votes.
- James Kamau Murango (UDA) was elected senator for Kirinyaga receiving 196,141 of the valid votes cast. Daniel Karaba Dickson (Jubilee Party (JP)) was second with 26,430 votes.
- Joe Joseph Nyutu Ngugi (UDA) was elected senator for Muranga receiving 314,203 of the valid votes cast. James Kembi Gitura (Jubilee Party (JP)) was second with 72,278 votes.
- Paul Karungo Thangwa (UDA) was elected senator for Kiambu receiving 579,411 of the valid votes cast. George Jonathan Maara (JP) was second with 112,304 votes.
- James Lomenen Ekomwa (JP) was elected senator for Turkana receiving 56,334 of the valid votes cast.
- Julius Murgor Recha (UDA) was elected senator for West Pokot receiving 72,240 (59%) of the valid votes cast. Samuel Losuron Poghisio (KANU) was second with 41,119 (34%) votes.
- Steve Ltumbesi Lelegwe (UDA) was re-elected senator for Samburu receiving 40,066 (57%) of the valid votes cast. Lkitonga Lenkolos (JP) was second with 27,895 (40%) votes.
- Allan Kiprotich Chesang (UDA) was re-elected senator for Trans Nzoia receiving 123,793 (50%) of the valid votes cast. Joshua Mutoto Werunga (FORD-Kenya) was second with 56,779 (23%) votes.
- Jackson Kiplagat Mandago (UDA) was elected senator for Uasin Gishu receiving 252,805 (73%) of the valid votes cast. Robert Rotich Kemei (Independent) was second with 94,875 (27%) votes.
- Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen (UDA) was re-elected senator for Elgeyo Marakwet, on 9 August 2022, receiving 141,091 (87%) of the valid votes cast. Alex Tanui Tolgos (Jubilee Party (JP)) was second with 20,648 (13%) votes. Senator Murkomen resigned after his appointment as a Cabinet Secretary in late October 2022. William Kipkemoi Kisang (UDA) was elected senator in the by-election held on 5 January 2023, receiving 41,378 (49%) of the valid votes cast. Tim Kipchumba (Party For Peace & Democracy (PD) was second with 38,151 (45%) votes. The turnout for the by-election was 40%.

- John Kinyua Nderitu (UDA) was re-elected senator for Laikipia, on 9 August 2022, receiving 59,947 (46%) of the valid votes cast. John Maina Njenga Kamunya (Kenya African National Union (KANU)) was second with 40,205 (31%) votes and John Mathenge Mwaniki (JP) third with 29,771 (23%) votes.
- Tabitha Karanja Keroche (UDA) was elected senator for Nakuru, on 9 August 2022, receiving 442,864 (68%) of the valid votes cast. Lawrence Macharia Karanja (JP) was second with 163,625 (25%) votes.
- Ledama Ole Kina (ODM) was re-elected senator for Narok, on 9 August 2022, receiving 135,180 of the valid votes cast. Samuel Kuntai Tunai (UDA) was second with 117,869 votes.
- Seki Lenku Ole Kanar (UDA) was elected senator for Kajiado, on 9 August 2022, receiving 125,696 (41%) of the valid votes cast. Judith Nayiai Ramaita Pareno (ODM) was second with 99,943 (33%) votes.
- Aaron Kipkirui Cheruiyot (UDA) was re-elected senator for Kericho, on 9 August 2022, receiving 292,295 (88%) of the valid votes cast. Queenas Chepkemoi (Independent) was second with 36,876 (11%) votes.
- Wakili Hillary Kiprotich Sigei (UDA) was elected senator for Bomet, on 9 August 2022, receiving 237,192 (79%) of the valid votes cast. Enock Cheruiyot Kemei (CCM) was second with 57,745 (19%) votes.
- Boni Khalwale (UDA) was elected senator for Kakamega, on 9 August 2022, receiving 249,003 (50%) of the valid votes cast. Brian Lishenga Makamu (ODM) was second with 195,192 (39%) votes.
- Godfrey Atieno Osotsi (ODM) was elected senator for Vihiga, on 9 August 2022, receiving 62,798 (56%) of the valid votes cast. James Babira Ndeda (DAP-K) was second with 25,406 (23%) votes.
- Moses Masika Wetangula (FORD-Kenya) was re-elected senator for Bungoma, on 9 August 2022, receiving 283,631 (97%) of the valid votes cast. Charles Kibanani Ngome (DAP-K) was a distant second with 9,242 (3%) votes. Senator Wetangula resigned after his election as Speaker of the National Assembly in early September 2022. David Wakoli Wafula (FORD-Kenya) was elected senator in the by-election held on 8 December 2022, receiving 41,378 (49%) of the valid votes cast. Moses Wekesa Mwambu Mabonga (UDA) was second with 45,907 (34%) votes. The turnout for the by-election was 21%.
- Andrew Omtatah Okoiti (NRA) was elected senator for Busia, on 9 August 2022, receiving 171,681 (74%) of the valid votes cast. Hillary Odera Itela (ODM) was second with 59,276 (26%) votes.
- Oburu Oginga (ODM) was elected senator for Siaya, on 9 August 2022, receiving 285,595 (77%) of the valid votes cast. Julius Okongo Okinda (Independent) was second with 33,898 (9%) votes.
- Tom Ojienda Odhiambo (ODM) was elected senator for Kisumu, on 9 August 2022, receiving 413,121 (96%) of the votes cast. Enos Gundi Okolo (Jubilee Party (JP)) was a distant second with 15,575 (4%) votes.
- Moses Otieno Kajwang (ODM) was re-elected senator for Homa Bay, on 9 August 2022, receiving 353,882 (92%) of the valid votes cast. Thomas Ochieng Ojanga (Kenya African National Union (KANU)) was a distant second with 18,290 (5%) votes.
- Eddy Gicheru Oketch (ODM) was elected senator for Migori, on 9 August 2022, receiving 295,228 (87%) of the votes cast. Sophia Rocklynne Dhibirah Christopher (JP) was a distant second with 27,682 (8%) votes.
- Richard Momoima Onyonka (ODM) was elected senator for Kisii, on 9 August 2022, receiving 173,189 (43%) of the votes cast. James Omingo Magara (JP) was second with 121,339 (30%) votes.
- Erick Okongo Mogeni (ODM) was re-elected senator for Nyamira, on 9 August 2022, receiving 96,432 (48%) of the votes cast. Nyambega Mose (UDA) was second with 43,866 (22%) votes.
