List of Elected MCAs in Lugari Constituency 2022. Kenya’s Kakamega County was formerly part of the Western Province. Its borders are as follows: Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties to the north; Vihiga County to the south; Siaya County to the west; and Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties to the east. Kakamega is its major town and capital. The county is 3,033.8 km2 in size and has 1,867,579 residents. Kenya has an electoral seat called Lugari seat. It is the sole seat remaining in the former Lugari District and one of twelve in Kakamega County. There are eight wards in the total constituency, and each ward elects members of the Lugari County Council. The 1988 elections marked the creation of the constituency.
