Established in 1983 by employees of the Kenya Marines & Fisheries Research Institute, the Sacco now boasts over 14,000 members from diverse economic sectors across Kenya, with an asset base exceeding Kshs 450 million. Membership Eligibility

3. Exclusivity: Must not be a member of another salary-based Sacco in Kenya.

5. Introduction: Must be introduced by an existing member.

Membership Requirements

For Individuals

2. Fees:
   • Registration fee of Kshs 1,000.
   • Minimum FOSA account balance of Kshs 500.
   • Initial monthly contribution of Kshs 1,240 (covering insurance, shares, and deposits).

For Groups/Chamas

   • Certificate of registration.
   • Group constitution.
   • National ID or passport for office bearers.
   • Confirmed minutes signed by the chairman and secretary authorizing account opening.

   • Minimum of 5 group members.
