You can send money from Kenya to Namibia on your mobile through international money transfer services such as WorldRemit, MoneyGram, and Paysend. These platforms support transfers to bank accounts or cash pickup locations in Namibia, but direct mobile money transfers to a recipient’s mobile money account may not be directly available for this corridor.

Using Third-Party Money Transfer Apps

Services like WorldRemit and MoneyGram enable online transfers via their mobile apps.

  • WorldRemit: You can send money for cash pickup at various locations or directly to a bank account in Namibia. Download the WorldRemit app to initiate a transfer.
  • MoneyGram: The MoneyGram app allows you to send funds for cash collection at agent locations like Nova Cambios or Cambio Seguro in Namibia. Download the MoneyGram app to get started.
  • Paysend: This service also facilitates transfers to Namibia. You can use the Paysend app or website to send money to bank accounts.

Using M-PESA Global via Western Union

M-PESA Global facilitates international transfers through partners like Western Union, which supports cash pickup in Namibia.

  1. Opt in to M-PESA Global via the M-PESA App or by dialing *334#.
  2. Open the M-PESA App or dial *334# and select “M-PESA Global”.
  3. Choose “Western Union Location” as the receiving method.
  4. Enter the recipient’s details (name, country, etc.) and the amount.
  5. Confirm the details and enter your M-PESA PIN.
  6. Share the provided tracking number (MTCN) with the recipient, who can use it to collect the cash at a local Western Union agent in Namibia.

Always check the fees and exchange rates within the respective apps or platforms before confirming your transfer.
