Direct mobile money wallet transfers (like M-PESA to an Egyptian mobile money service, the closest M-PESA country) are not readily available in Libya due to a preference for cash and local banking apps. Therefore, transfers typically involve cash pickup or bank transfers. 

Using M-PESA Global with Partners

You can use your M-PESA account to fund transfers through M-PESA’s international partners, allowing the recipient to collect cash at an agent location or receive a bank transfer in Libya. 

Via the M-PESA App 

1. Open the M-PESA App and log in using your PIN.
2. Navigate to the “Transact” section and select “Global”.
3. Select a partner that serves Libya, such as Western Union or MoneyGram.
4. Choose the option for cash pickup or bank transfer and enter the recipient’s details (full name as it appears on their ID document, phone number, and bank details if applicable).
