North Kinangop, Kenya | Sept 8, 2025 (NS News) — It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the family of Paul Mwangi Kamau Wa Makuti announces his passing on September 8, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born in 1937, Paul Mwangi Kamau Wa Makuti was the son of the late Muturi wa Njuguna and the late Nyagithii Muthoni. He was a devoted brother to the late Kairu wa Muturi, late Nyawira, late Maina Kaboga, late Nyambura, Macharia Kamau, Grace Wanjiru, and Wangui.
Paul was the beloved husband of Emerenziana Njeri. He was a dedicated father to Boniface Karanja, the late Job Muturi, Lina Muthoni, Anthony Kairu, Benaddetta Wangui, Teresia Wanjiku, and Stephen Mungara.
As a cherished grandfather, he will be fondly remembered by Paul Mwangi Kairu, Maureen Njeri, Kevin Karume, Kiminda Muchiri, Wambui Mungara, Furaha Njeri, Victoria Muoria, Victor Muoria, Melisa Mungara, Damaris Njeri, Tresford Paul, and Paulo Mwangi. His influence, guidance, and love left an enduring impact on his entire family.
Throughout his life, Paul Mwangi Kamau Wa Makuti was known for his humility, faith, and commitment to family and community. His wisdom and kindness made him a beacon of strength and unity, qualities that will live on through the generations he inspired.
The cortege leaves [mortuary name if known] on Saturday, September 13, 2025, for burial at his home in Engineer, North Kinangop, near St. Joseph Catholic Church.
