Following the recent launch of the Oppo Watch X2, new industry leaks suggest that Oppo is preparing to introduce a compact version of the wearable: the Oppo Watch X2 Mini. While not officially confirmed, early details hint that the Mini model will retain many of the core features of its larger sibling, despite its smaller size.
While the exact screen size remains undisclosed, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini is expected to feature a 60Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits, delivering excellent outdoor visibility and smooth user interaction.
The Watch X2 Mini is also reported to continue with Oppo’s dual chipset architecture. It will feature the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor to run Wear OS 5, alongside a BES2800 MCU for an efficient RTOS-based power-saving mode. This setup is designed to intelligently switch between modes for better battery optimization.
While battery capacity is still unknown, the Watch X2 Mini is expected to deliver:
- Up to 3 days of use in Smart Mode (Wear OS)
- 6–8 days of endurance in Power Saver mode
For context, the standard Watch X2 offers up to 5 days in Smart Mode and up to 16 days in Power Saver mode, suggesting the Mini will sacrifice some battery longevity in favor of compactness.
Under the hood, the wearable will likely come with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, matching the full-size version. Health and wellness tracking features will include:
- Optical heart rate sensor
- SpO2 (blood oxygen) sensor
- Fall detection
- A 60-second health check for quick, all-in-one monitoring
Build quality appears to be a priority as well, with the Watch X2 Mini expected to carry IP68 and 5ATM water resistance ratings, ensuring solid durability for everyday use and workouts.
In terms of design, no significant changes are anticipated, although the only visual reference so far comes from a partially visible promotional poster. The Mini is likely to follow the aesthetic cues of the Watch X2, possibly with minor tweaks to accommodate the smaller form factor.
