Club Career

Early Career and Gor Mahia

  • Liberty Sports Academy: Began his career while still a student, scoring 32 goals in the 2012 season, helping his team earn promotion.
  • Tusker (2013): Signed on a one-year loan, scoring two goals in the season.
  • Thika United (2014): Scored nine goals during the loan spell.
  • Gor Mahia (2015): Joined ahead of the 2015 season, finishing as the top scorer with 19 goals, helping Gor Mahia win their 15th league title.

Djurgården (2016)

  • Signed a four-year contract with Swedish side Djurgården in February 2016.
  • Scored his first two goals for Djurgården in August 2016 against IFK Göteborg.
  • Finished the season with 12 goals in the last 12 games, ranking fifth in the Allsvenskan top scorer table.

Guizhou Zhicheng (2017)

  • Joined the Chinese club in 2017.

Girona (Loan, 2017-2018)

  • Loaned to La Liga side Girona FC.
  • Scored a hat-trick on his debut against Las Palmas, becoming the first Kenyan and first Girona player to score a hat-trick in La Liga.

Kashiwa Reysol (2018-2020)

  • Joined Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol in August 2018.
  • Scored eight goals in a single match in November 2019 against Kyoto Sanga.
  • Finished the 2019 season with 27 goals, leading Kashiwa to promotion.
  • Won the Golden Boot and MVP in the 2020 J1 League with 28 goals.

Al-Duhail (2021-Present)

  • Signed in January 2021 for a reported fee of €6 million.
  • Scored a hat-trick in the Emir of Qatar Cup shortly after joining.
