• 1975: The Block Hotel group established Kenya Meat Processors Ltd to supply pork products to hotels.
• 1980: Renamed Farmer’s Choice Ltd and granted an export license.
• 1989: Acquired by the Lonrho group.
• 2000: Majority shareholding acquired by Aga Khan-owned IPS Group.
• 2010: Commissioned a Halal-certified, state-of-the-art beef slaughterhouse under the “Choice Meats” brand.
