How to Apply for TSC Online Transfer. Transferring to a different workplace can be essential, especially for teachers who need to be closer to home or for other personal reasons. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya provides an online portal for teachers to request transfers. This guide will help you understand how to apply for a TSC online transfer, detailing the requirements, reasons for transfer, and the step-by-step application process.

Reasons for TSC Online Transfer Application

When applying for a transfer on the TSC Online Transfer Portal, you can select from the following reasons:

  • Joining Spouse
  • Medical (Self/Child/Parent)
  • Aging Parents
  • Overstay
  • Security

Requirements for TSC Transfer Application

To be eligible for a TSC transfer, you must:

  • Be officially employed by TSC.
  • Have served in your current station for at least five years (for overstay).
  • Have relevant documents to support your transfer reason (e.g., medical reports, spouse employment proof).

Steps to Apply for TSC Transfer Online

  1. Open Your Browser:
    • On your PC or smartphone, open your preferred web browser.
  2. Visit the TSC Website:
    • Type https://tsc.go.ke in the URL bar and press Enter to access the TSC website.
  3. Access the Transfer Portal:
    • Navigate to “Online Service,” hover over “HRMIS Teacher,” and click on “Transfer.”
  4. Login to the TSC Online Portal:
    • The TSC Online Portal will load, prompting you to enter your TSC Number, ID Number, and your phone number registered with TSC.
    • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your phone. Enter the OTP and click on “Login” to access the Transfer Portal.
  5. Submit Transfer Request:
    • Once logged in, click on “Submit Request for Transfer.”
  6. Fill in Transfer Details:
    • Enter the period of stay in your current school.
    • Select your current sub-county and the county you wish to transfer to.
    • For primary school teachers, select the sub-county you wish to transfer to.
    • For secondary school teachers, select the desired county, sub-county, and specific school.
  7. Select Reason for Transfer:
    • Choose the reason for your transfer from the provided options.
  8. Provide Additional Details:
    • In the details field, provide any additional explanation for your transfer request.
    • Choose the date you require the transfer.
    • Enter your email address for further communication.
  9. Attach Supporting Documents:
    • Below the application form, there is an option to upload attachments. Upload relevant supporting documents, such as medical reports or proof of your spouse’s employment.
  10. Submit the Application:
    • Tick the checkbox to confirm the information provided.
    • Click on “OK” to submit your transfer request.

After Submission

  • Your transfer request will be reviewed by relevant authorities, including the head of the institution and the director of education at the sub-county and county levels.
  • You will be notified of the status of your application through the email provided or via SMS.

By following these steps, you can easily apply for a TSC transfer online, making the process more efficient and convenient.
