Tenwek Boys was initially a primary school before evolving into a secondary institution. The school’s first principal, E. Gilger, led the school from its inception until 1968. Among its notable alumni are former Cabinet Minister Kipkalya Kones, State House Deputy Chief of Staff Josphat Nanok, and the late Samwel Cheruiyot Langat, a former Director of the Kenya Literature Bureau.
