Africa International University (AIU), originally known as the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST), is a leading private Christian university located in Nairobi, Kenya. Established in 1983, the institution was founded by Byang H. Kato, a pioneer in African evangelical movements and the first African General Secretary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa. The university initially began with only four students, but it has since grown into a respected institution with a student population of 2,685 and an alumni network of over 2,900 individuals.
