Africa International University (AIU), originally known as the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST), is a leading private Christian university located in Nairobi, Kenya. Established in 1983, the institution was founded by Byang H. Kato, a pioneer in African evangelical movements and the first African General Secretary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa. The university initially began with only four students, but it has since grown into a respected institution with a student population of 2,685 and an alumni network of over 2,900 individuals.

Situated in the serene Karen area of Nairobi, AIU provides a conducive learning environment, surrounded by nature yet strategically located for access to urban resources. The university offers a range of programs through four academic schools: the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST), the School of Business and Economics (SBE), the School of Education, Arts & Social Sciences (SEAS), and the School of Computing & Emerging Technologies (SCET).

  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Translation, and Linguistics: This program offers three concentrations: Descriptive Linguistics, Communication, and Translation.
  • Bachelor of Education: With options in Secondary, Primary, and Early Childhood Development (ECD) Education.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Counselling Psychology: For students interested in mental health and community services.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Financial Management: Aimed at students pursuing careers in accounting and financial services.
  • Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship: Designed to equip students with business and entrepreneurial skills.

Africa International University is located in the serene area of Karen, Nairobi. This location provides a peaceful environment for studying while being well-connected to the city’s amenities.
