T-Mobile Family Freedom Deal Now Woos Verizon Users

T-Mobile has revamped its popular Carrier Freedom program, rebranding it as the T-Mobile Family Freedom deal and expanding its reach to now include Verizon customers. This shift comes in response to a heated deal war among wireless carriers, especially after AT&T’s more aggressive Switch and Save program debuted in March.

What Is T-Mobile Family Freedom?

The T-Mobile Family Freedom deal helps customers ditch their old carrier, bring their number, and avoid paying hefty termination fees. The program offers:

  • Up to $800 reimbursement per line
  • Covers up to four lines, totaling $3,200 in value
  • Up to $1,000 in bill credits for new phone trade-ins
  • Eligibility across all plans, with some requiring Go5G Next or higher-tier plans

Verizon Switchers Now Welcome

Previously, Verizon users were redirected to the Keep and Switch offer, which required them to bring their own phone. That restriction is now gone.

Verizon customers can now:

  • Switch to T-Mobile with Family Freedom
  • Trade in their old phone
  • Receive bill credits and even new devices for free

This change brings Verizon switch-ins in line with the benefits previously reserved for AT&T customers.

Stackable Offers: iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 for Free

The Family Freedom deal can be combined with other promos, including offers on:

  • iPhone 16
  • Samsung Galaxy S25

Eligible switchers can receive free devices when trading in an old phone and signing up for a qualifying plan.

What You Need to Switch

To take full advantage of the T-Mobile Family Freedom deal, be ready to:

  • Provide a recent bill (PDF) from your current carrier
  • Get a Visa card with the value of your phone
  • Choose a qualifying plan (Go5G Next required for some “On Us” offers)

T-Mobile vs. AT&T: Who’s Winning the Deal War?

While AT&T’s offer supports switching up to ten lines, T-Mobile’s Family Freedom is limited to four. That said, the new support for Verizon switchers gives T-Mobile a better position to challenge its rivals.

Final Thoughts

The T-Mobile Family Freedom deal is a compelling offer for families or groups looking to break free from AT&T or Verizon. With high reimbursement value, free flagship phones, and expanded eligibility, it’s a timely solution for frustrated wireless users looking to make the jump.
