Doha, February 10 (QNA) – His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has sent a cable of condolences to President of Namibia Dr. Nangolo Mbumba following the passing of former President Sam Nujoma.
Additionally, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani also extended his sympathies in a separate message to the Namibian Head of State.
Furthermore, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani conveyed a message of condolences to President Mbumba, mourning the death of Namibia’s founding father and first president.
Nujoma, who passed away at the age of 95, was a key figure in Namibia’s fight for independence and served as its first president from 1990 to 2005.
