Pesalink and TendePay Partner to Redefine Spend Management for Businesses in Kenya

22 September 2025 | Nairobi, Kenya — Pesalink and TendePay have announced a partnership to expand digital payment solutions for businesses in Kenya. The collaboration integrates Pesalink’s instant payment infrastructure with TendePay’s spend management platform, giving businesses the ability to make single and bulk payments of up to KSh 999,999 instantly, 24/7, across all banks in Kenya.

TendePay has grown from a petty cash management tool into a comprehensive spend management platform. Through its integration with Pesalink’s instant, affordable, and reliable payments infrastructure, businesses can now process all transactions—from salaries and supplier invoices to utilities and customer collections—in real time, from one CBK-regulated platform.

The solution is tailored for organisations managing frequent, high-value transactions, including microfinance institutions, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, contractors, logistics firms, HoReCa operators, and accountants. Together, Pesalink and TendePay are equipping Kenyan enterprises with smarter money movement tools and enhanced financial control. According to FSD Kenya 2024, Kenya’s 7.4 million MSMEs employ nearly 14.9 million people, contributing around 40% of national GDP, yet remain underserved by traditional financial services.

Speaking at the launch, Abel Masai, CEO of TendePay, stated:
“This partnership reflects our evolution into a full spend management platform. With Pesalink’s trusted infrastructure, we are giving businesses a reliable, secure, and affordable tool to manage every payment, whether large or small, at any time.”

Gituku Kirika, CEO of IPSL, added:
“At Pesalink, we believe collaboration is the key to helping businesses move different. Pesalink was built on interoperability to simplify payments by delivering instant and affordable transfers across Kenya’s financial ecosystem. By partnering with TendePay, we are extending these benefits to businesses of every size—giving them efficiency, financial control, and confidence in their daily operations.”

Pesalink enables instant 24/7/365 account-to-account payments of up to KSh 999,999 across more than 80 banks, SACCOs, telcos, and fintechs. The integration with TendePay extends reliable, affordable, single or bulk payments to a wider business base. Incoming payments from any bank in Kenya are automatically reconciled, reducing manual work and freeing businesses to focus on growth.

For organisations such as microfinance institutions, manufacturers, distributors, contractors, logistics companies, schools, and SMEs, the partnership strengthens financial flow management with speed and efficiency.

“By combining TendePay’s spend management tools with Pesalink’s infrastructure, we are creating a solution built for Kenyan enterprises,” said Masai.
