The Kenya U-20 football team, affectionately known as the Rising Stars, plays a vital role in shaping the future of Kenyan football. As the official youth development squad, the team competes in prestigious tournaments such as the FIFA U-20 World Cup, U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U-20), and regional events like the CECAFA U-20 Championship. Their performances not only prepare players for the senior national team but also showcase emerging Kenyan talent on the global stage.
Managed under the Football Kenya Federation, the Kenya U-20 football team is more than just a feeder squad—it’s a symbol of hope and ambition. With two CECAFA U-20 Championship titles (1971 and 1999) and two runner-up finishes (1973 and 2019), the Rising Stars continue to assert their presence in East African football and beyond.
