KASNEB’s new syllabus, launched on 23rd July 2021, introduces a comprehensive competence-based framework that includes practicals, research projects, and workshops. The new syllabus is divided into five qualification levels, catering to various learners and professionals. KASNEB New Syllabus: Levels of Qualification

1. Short Courses (Vocational Courses)

This level includes short-term, skill-based programs targeting fresh high school graduates and professionals seeking specialized knowledge. The vocational courses include:

  • Vocational Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Vocational Certificate in Graphic Design
  • Vocational Certificate in Information and Cyber Security
  • Vocational Certificate in Blockchain Technology

2. Certificate Course

The only certificate course offered by KASNEB is the Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS). It is designed for individuals seeking foundational skills in accounting and financial statement preparation for small enterprises or non-complex environments.

3. Diploma Courses

KASNEB offers three diploma courses, each tailored to equip students with skills in specific fields:

  • Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD): For those interested in financial and management accounts, financial statement preparation, and tax computation for small and medium enterprises.
  • Diploma in Data Management and Analytics (DDMA): Focuses on database design, data mining, and analysis for decision-making.
  • Diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration (DCNSA): Provides knowledge in managing non-complex networks and systems.

4. Professional Courses

  • Certified Credit Professionals (CCP): Equips individuals with credit management skills.

  • CPA Workshops: CPA candidates must attend workshops organized by KASNEB and ICPAK to earn Initial Professional Development (IPD) hours, which can later be converted to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours.
  • CS Update: A new paper titled Boardroom Management has been introduced to the CS course.

5. Post-Professional Specializations

This level is equivalent to a postgraduate diploma and includes the newly introduced Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner (CFFE) course. CFFE students will learn about fraud detection, prevention, and forensic auditing, focusing on financial fraud in legal contexts.
