To obtain an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) clearance certificate in Kenya, follow these steps:
Steps to Obtain EACC Clearance Certificate
- Download and Fill Self-Declaration Form:
- Visit the EACC website at www.eacc.go.ke to download the self-declaration form.
- Complete two copies of the form.
- Attach Necessary Documents:
- Attach copies of your ID or passport, KRA PIN certificate, and relevant academic certificates to each form.
- Sign and Witness the Form:
- Sign both copies of the form in the presence of a commissioner for oaths or a magistrate.
- Submit the Forms:
- Submit the completed forms in person at the EACC head office, any regional EACC office, or Huduma Centres across Kenya. Note: Submissions cannot be made online.
- Receive Acknowledgment:
- Upon submission, you will receive a stamped copy of your application as proof of acknowledgment.
- No Certificate Issued:
- EACC does not issue a physical clearance certificate. Instead, they will provide a confidential report directly to the employing agency regarding all shortlisted applicants.
Important Notice
Providing false information is a punishable offense, which can result in a fine of up to Kshs 5 million or imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
