Brief History of the National Agenda Party of Kenya

The National Agenda Party of Kenya (NAP-K) was founded by Alfayo Alfonze Agufana with the mission to build a social, democratic state and society where all Kenyans have a better life and feel at home as individuals and cultural communities. The party emphasizes democracy through education, activism, and collaboration, aiming to shift Kenyan political culture from ethnic-based to issue-based politics. NAP-K also focuses on mentoring new leadership committed to oversight, social audits, and active participation in national and local politics.

The party’s headquarters are located at Summit House, Moi Avenue, Nairobi, with a postal address of P.O. Box 3308-00100 Nairobi. ORPP

Step 1: Resign from Your Current Political Party

Before registering with NAP-K, you must resign from your current political party.

*Option A: Resign via USSD Code 509#

  1. Dial *509# on your mobile phone.
  2. If you’re a first-time user, register by entering your ID number and first name as they appear on your national ID.
  3. You’ll receive an ORPP PIN via SMS.
  4. Dial *509# again and enter your PIN.
  5. Select “Membership”, then choose Option 3: Resign.
  6. Confirm your details to complete the resignation process.

Option B: Resign Online via the ORPP Portal

  1. Visit the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS) or log in through eCitizen.
  2. Register or log in using your ID number and first name.
  3. Navigate to “Membership Resignation” under your account.
  4. Confirm your resignation by following the on-screen prompts and entering the OTP sent to your phone.
  5. Check your registration status to ensure you are no longer affiliated with any party.

Step 2: Register as a NAP-K Member

After successfully resigning from your previous party, you can now register as a member of NAP-K.

*Option A: Register via USSD Code 509#

  1. Dial *509# again.
  2. Enter your ORPP PIN.
  3. Select “Membership”, then choose “Join a party”.
  4. Enter the party name: National Agenda Party of Kenya.
  5. Enter the party code: 037.
  6. Provide your county, constituency, and ward codes as prompted.
  7. Confirm your details to complete your registration as a NAP-K member.

Option B: Register Online via the ORPP Portal

  1. Log in to the IPPMS portal or through eCitizen.
  2. Go to the “Join a Party” section.
  3. Select National Agenda Party of Kenya (NAP-K) from the list.
  4. Fill in your details and submit your application.
  5. Wait for confirmation from the party; your membership will be updated once approved.

  • Ensure your ID details are accurate.
  • Use the same phone number throughout the process.
  • If you face technical issues, visit the ORPP website or contact the NAP-K headquarters for assistance.
