Brief History of Chama Cha Uzalendo
Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) is a Kenyan political party established in 2004. The party is currently headed by Maur Bwanamaka. Former party chairmen include Wavinya Ndeti and Koigi Wamwere.

Step 1: Resign from Your Current Political Party
Before registering with Chama Cha Uzalendo, you must resign from your current political party.

*509#on your mobile phone. - If you’re a first-time user, register by entering your ID number and first name as they appear on your national ID.
- You’ll receive an ORPP PIN via SMS.
- Dial
*509#again and enter your PIN. - Select “Membership”, then choose Option 3: Resign.
- Confirm your details to complete the resignation process.
Option B: Resign Online via the ORPP Portal
- Visit the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS) or log in through eCitizen.
- Register or log in using your ID number and first name.
- Navigate to “Membership Resignation” under your account.
- Confirm your resignation by following the on-screen prompts and entering the OTP sent to your phone.
- Check your registration status to ensure you are no longer affiliated with any party.
Step 2: Register as a Chama Cha Uzalendo Member
After successfully resigning from your previous party, you can now register as a member of Chama Cha Uzalendo.

- Select “Membership”, then choose “Join a party”.
- Enter the party name: Chama Cha Uzalendo.
- Enter the party code: 036.
- Provide your county, constituency, and ward codes as prompted.
- Confirm your details to complete your registration as a Chama Cha Uzalendo member.
Option B: Register Online via the ORPP Portal
- Log in to the IPPMS portal or through eCitizen.
- Go to the “Join a Party” section.
