You can connect your Webmail (custom domain email) to Gmail using either IMAP (recommended) or POP3 to send and receive emails from your Webmail account within Gmail.
Step 1: Get Your Webmail IMAP/POP3 & SMTP Settings
Before adding Webmail to Gmail, you need to find your email server settings. You can check with your hosting provider, cPanel, or Webmail settings. Common configurations include:

Step 2: Add Your Webmail to Gmail
1️⃣ Open Gmail and log into your account. 2️⃣ Click on the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner and select See all settings. 3️⃣ Navigate to the Accounts and Import tab. 4️⃣ Scroll down to Check mail from other accounts and click Add a mail account. 5️⃣ Enter your Webmail address (e.g., [email protected]
) and click Next.
Step 3: Choose Connection Type (IMAP or POP3)
- Select “Import emails from my other account (POP3)” (if using POP).
- Click Next.
Enter the following settings:
- Username: Your full Webmail address (
[email protected]
). - Password: Your Webmail password.

- Port:

- Check ✅ “Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.”
- Check ✅ “Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server” (if you want to access emails in Webmail too).
- Click Add Account.
Step 4: Set Up Sending via SMTP
- After adding your Webmail, select “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as [email protected]“ and click Next.

- Password: Your Webmail password.
- Secure Connection: ✅ Choose SSL (Port 465) or TLS (Port 587).
- SMTP Server:
- Click Add Account.
Step 5: Verify and Start Using Webmail in Gmail
- Gmail will send a verification code to your Webmail inbox.
- Open Webmail (
yourdomain.com/webmail
), find the email from Gmail, and copy the verification code. - Enter the code in Gmail and click Verify.
✅ Done! Now, you can send and receive Webmail emails directly from Gmail.
Bonus: Set Your Webmail as Default Sender
- Go to Settings > Accounts and Import.
- In “Send mail as”, click Make Default next to your Webmail address.
