ZHENGZHOU, China — Yutong Bus, one of the world’s leading electric bus manufacturers, has rolled out Link+, its next-generation Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform designed to reshape fleet operations through AI-driven monitoring, intelligent management, and lifecycle efficiency services.
The international version of Yutong’s earlier Vehicle+ platform, Link+ delivers a secure, intelligent, and efficient one-stop solution for global operators. By integrating big data analytics with real-time vehicle oversight, the system enables transport providers to optimize performance, cut costs, and improve safety standards.
Smart Monitoring and Predictive Control
Link+ provides fleets with 24/7 oversight, tracking vehicle location, performance, and over 100 parts and components in real time. The platform conducts one-minute automated inspections to detect potential risks early, minimizing breakdowns and ensuring safer passenger journeys.
Operators can deploy geo-fencing tools to enforce speed limits in specific areas, remotely control air conditioning systems for passenger comfort, and automatically schedule off-peak charging sessions to lower energy expenses. By analyzing consumption data, the system also identifies inefficiencies and offers corrective strategies.
Intelligent Services for Global Fleets
Yutong’s AI assistant underpins Link+’s efficiency capabilities. It provides instant fault detection and guided repair steps, streamlines parts procurement through a digital catalog of 480,000+ OEM components, and allows operators to book repair services with one click. Certified engineers can be engaged directly via the platform, reducing downtime.
A practical case study comes from VOY Santiago SpA, a Chilean operator managing 214 Yutong new energy buses. Facing rapid brake wear due to challenging road conditions, VOY leveraged Link+’s real-time map monitoring, cutting inspection times from four days to just 10 minutes.
In energy management, the operator standardized air conditioning at 22°C with fans at 50%, which improved compliance and reduced consumption by 1,848 kWh per day. At Chile’s electricity rate of 127 pesos per kWh, this translated into annual savings of 49.3 million pesos during peak cooling seasons.
Global Standards and Data Security
Yutong emphasized that Link+ complies with all international data protection standards. The platform’s Information Security Management System (ISO 27001 & 27701) and Vehicle Cyber Security Management System (EU CSMS certification) ensure privacy safeguards. Several bus models have also achieved R155 model VTA certification, underscoring the company’s compliance with the latest automotive cybersecurity requirements.
Industry Impact
By combining artificial intelligence, big data, and predictive analytics, Yutong Link+ positions itself as a game-changer in fleet management. The platform enables operators worldwide to enhance passenger safety, reduce energy costs, and extend vehicle lifespan — strengthening Yutong’s role as a pioneer in global electric bus innovation.
