MIAMI — Newark-born artist Jalil Lopez is set to release his latest project, Metamorfosis, a seven-track EP with a bonus song that charts his journey from heartbreak to healing. Scheduled for release on September 5, 2025, through Redline Media Group (RMG), the EP showcases Lopez’s ability to bridge traditional Bachata with contemporary urban soul and hip hop.
Metamorfosis arrives as Lopez’s most personal work to date. “This project is a reflection of everything I’ve lived through — what nearly broke me, what and who brought me back, and how I’ve grown through it all,” Lopez said. “It’s my truth, and I hope it connects with fans all around the world.”
A Transformative Sound
The project features collaborations with prominent Latin producers and songwriters, including:
- Andres Rios, three-time Latin Grammy nominee and 2024 Song of the Year winner
- Jorge Milano and Lil’ Genuiz, both Latin Grammy-nominated
- Alejandro “Mosty” Patiño, four-time Latin Grammy winner
Musically, Metamorfosis weaves the raw emotion of classic Bachata with Lopez’s urban influences, producing a body of work that addresses grief, redemption, love, and renewal. The EP captures vulnerability while embracing joy, offering listeners an intimate look at the artist’s personal evolution.
Building on Global Success
Lopez enters this new chapter following viral traction with singles including “No Vas a Encontrar” featuring RKM, “La Culpable,” and “Borracho y Loco.” Known for early hits like “Princesa Mía” and “Tu Primer Amor,” as well as high-profile collaborations with Rick Ross and DJ Khaled, Lopez has consistently pushed boundaries in Latin and urban music.
With Metamorfosis, he positions himself for a bold reinvention, marking a turning point both creatively and personally. The EP reflects a story of resilience, self-discovery, and artistic authenticity, establishing Lopez as a distinct voice in the evolving landscape of Latin music.
Release Details
Metamorfosis will be available globally on all major streaming platforms starting Friday, September 5, 2025. Fans can expect an experience that blends tradition with innovation, underscoring Lopez’s growth as both an artist and storyteller.
