The Hustler Fund is a government-initiated mobile money lending platform in Kenya designed to provide affordable loans to low-income earners, commonly referred to as “hustlers.” This initiative aims to boost financial inclusion by offering accessible credit solutions to various segments of the population.

Hustler Fund Loan Details:

  • Loan Types and Limits:
    • Personal Loans: Ranging from KES 500 to KES 50,000.
    • Micro Loans: Limits from KES 50,000 to KES 500,000.
    • Group (Chama) Loans: From KES 500,000 to KES 10 million.
    • SME Loans: From KES 10 million to KES 100 million.
  • Interest Rate: The Hustler Fund features an exceptionally low interest rate of 0.002% per year, making it one of the most affordable lending options in the market.

Hustler Fund Loan App Availability:

  • Access: Instead of a standalone application, the Hustler Fund services are integrated as a mini-app within major mobile money platforms such as M-Pesa App, Airtel Money App, and T-Kash App.
  • Download: Currently, there is no independent Hustler Fund loan app available for download. Borrowers can access the services directly through their existing mobile money apps.

How to Apply for Loans:

  1. Access the Mini-App: Open your M-Pesa, Airtel Money, or T-Kash app and navigate to the Hustler Fund mini-app section.
  2. Create an Account: Follow the prompts to register and set up your Hustler Fund account.
  3. Apply for a Loan: Choose the type of loan you need, enter the amount within the specified limits, and submit your application.
  4. Loan Disbursement: Once approved, loans are disbursed directly to your mobile money account linked to the service.

Repayment of Loans:

  • Method: Loans can be repaid through the mini-app or via USSD code *254#. There is no need to use a specific paybill number for repayments.
  • Benefits of Early Repayment: Making early payments or paying off the loan before the due date can increase your eligibility for higher loan limits in the future.

Customer Support:

  • In-App Support: For assistance, users can access customer care services directly through the mini-app.
  • USSD Support: Alternatively, customer support can also be reached by dialing *254# and following the prompts for help.

Conclusion: The Hustler Fund loan app is a groundbreaking initiative by the Kenyan government to empower low-income earners by providing them with easy access to affordable credit. By integrating the service within popular mobile money apps, the fund ensures wide accessibility and convenience for potential borrowers across the country.

Note: Stay tuned for updates regarding the availability of any independent Hustler Fund app. This information will be shared once such an application is officially launched and available for public download.
