How to Send Money from Apple Pay to Cash App: Step-by-Step Method

apple pay

To transfer money from your Apple Pay to Cash App, follow these step-by-step instructions divided into two parts: transferring from Apple Pay to your bank account and then adding money from your bank account to Cash App.

Part 1: Transfer Apple Pay Balance to Your Bank

  1. Open the Wallet App:
    • On your iPhone, find and open the Wallet app. If you’re on an iPad, go to Settings and select Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Access Apple Cash Card:
    • Tap on your Apple Cash card within the Wallet app.
  3. Go to Transfer Options:
    • On an iPhone, tap the three horizontal dots in a circle to access the options menu. This step is not necessary on an iPad.
  4. Initiate the Transfer:
    • Select “Transfer to Bank” from the options available.
  5. Enter Transfer Amount:
    • Type in how much money you want to move from Apple Pay to your bank account and tap “Next.”
  6. Select Transfer Speed:
    • Choose “1-3 Business Days.” If you haven’t added a bank account yet, you’ll need to link one at this stage.
  7. Confirm the Transfer:
    • Tap “Transfer” and verify the transaction using your passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID.

Part 2: Add Money to Cash App

  1. Open Cash App:
    • Launch Cash App on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Navigate to Add Cash:
    • Tap the “Banking” tab on your home screen (icon with a $ symbol or your balance).
  3. Adding Funds to Cash App:
    • Tap on “Add Cash.”
  4. Enter the Amount:
    • Type in the amount of money you transferred from Apple Pay to your bank account.
  5. Complete the Addition:
    • Tap “Add” to finalize the transfer from your bank to your Cash App account. Confirm the transaction with your PIN or Touch ID.

By following these steps, you’ll efficiently transfer money from Apple Pay to your Cash App balance through your bank account.
