At CinemaCon 2025, Samsung officially unveiled its revolutionary Onyx Cinema LED screens, designed to replace traditional projector-based theater systems. Offering 4K resolution, 120Hz frame rates, and up to 300 nits of peak brightness, these LED cinema displays promise to transform the moviegoing experience with sharper, more vibrant visuals.
What Are Samsung Onyx Cinema LED Screens?
The Samsung Onyx Cinema LED screens are modular LED panels assembled into massive, seamless cinema screens. They are available in multiple sizes:
- 5m, 10m, 14m, and 20m (approx. 16ft to 66ft)
- Customizable to meet varied theater configurations
With brightness six times higher than standard projectors (300 nits vs. 48 nits), they deliver enhanced HDR visuals, deep blacks, and crisp contrast, even in ambient light settings.
