Samsung Electronics has officially confirmed the existence of the Galaxy A27 ahead of its expected launch, following months of leaks and benchmark appearances.
The device appeared on Samsung’s Brazilian website as a supported handset for Samsung Wallet, providing the first official acknowledgement from the company that the smartphone is preparing for release.
The Samsung Galaxy A series is a line of entry-level and mid-range Android-based smartphones and tablets (and formerly premium mid-range devices before 2023) manufactured and developed by Samsung Electronics as part of their Galaxy line, succeeding both the Galaxy J series and the Galaxy S “mini” line and slotted below the flagship Galaxy S series. The first models in the series were the first-generation Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, announced on 31 October 2014, and released in December 2014.
Following the announcement of the 2017 series, Samsung announced that they hoped to sell up to 20 million Galaxy A series smartphones, targeting consumers in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

As of 2026, most of the Galaxy A series models are available in most countries. Galaxy Tab A is also part of the A series and is available in most countries as well.[2]
In the Galaxy A series, only the Galaxy A90 5G supports Samsung DeX. The Galaxy A80 is the only Samsung phone with no hole punch, notch, side cutout, or island that is featured on the Galaxy S10+, Huawei P40 Pro, and the iPhone 15, as the Galaxy A80 uses a motorized camera system which utilizes the rear cameras as a selfie camera.
Galaxy A27 Appears on Samsung Website
Although Samsung has not formally unveiled the Galaxy A27, its inclusion in Samsung Wallet compatibility listings confirms the model is nearing launch.
The smartphone had previously surfaced through benchmark databases, leaked renders and reports outlining expected specifications.
Galaxy A27 Expected Specifications
According to earlier leaks, the Galaxy A27 will use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The device is also expected to launch running Android 16.
The design is reportedly aligned with Samsung’s newer mid-range models, including the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G.
Camera and Display Details
The Galaxy A27 is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Reports also suggest the smartphone will include a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
These specifications would position the Galaxy A27 within Samsung’s increasingly competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
Samsung Expands Mid-Range Portfolio
Samsung continues strengthening its Galaxy A series as competition intensifies in the affordable Android market.
The company has focused heavily on delivering premium-style features, including high-refresh-rate displays and longer software support, to lower-cost devices.
The Galaxy A27 is expected to continue that strategy as Samsung targets consumers seeking mid-range smartphones with flagship-inspired specifications.
Market Competition Intensifies
The Galaxy A series faces growing pressure from manufacturers including Xiaomi, Motorola and Realme, which continue expanding aggressively in budget and mid-tier markets.
As a result, Samsung has increasingly accelerated hardware upgrades and software support policies for its A-series lineup.
