This year is off to a tremendous start for the mid-range smartphone market. More powerful camera configurations, stronger Qualcomm chipsets, and even sharper screens appear to be on the horizon for the upcoming midrangers. While the Realme 12 Pro+ is still catching up, the camera hardware has unquestionably undergone the most update.
A 3x zoom periscope lens, a true telephoto camera, is included with the new Realme. In this pricing range, this feature is really uncommon. In terms of cost, there has been an INR 2,000 increase in the launch price; however, it is unclear if the European pricing will also be adjusted.
Realme may have had to make concessions with the primary camera to make room for the more expensive 64MP periscope telephoto camera. The primary 200MP camera is swapped out with a 50MP one that also has a somewhat smaller sensor. There is still a third backup 8MP ultrawide camera.

A more powerful Snapdargon 7s Gen 2 processor, based on a more recent 4nm manufacturing process, is now available with the updated device. We weren’t anticipating any modifications to begin with, but none have been made to the display. The 120Hz curved OLED display from last year is still in excellent condition in 2024. Although the maximum brightness may not be as high as that of rivals’ offerings, it is still sufficient for pleasant outdoor use.

Along with its sleek look, the smartphone still has a 5,000 mAh battery and vegan leather. Sadly, the battery no longer charges with a 100W brick; instead, it uses a 67W brick.
Realme appears to have had to make a few minor adjustments here and there in order to create room for some of the new features, such as the periscope telescopic camera. To examine if there are any more notable changes that are difficult to notice from the specs sheet alone, we delve further into the next pages.
