Naples, Italy – Napoli has officially secured the signing of Swiss forward Noah Okafor from AC Milan, following the departure of star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) last month.
Okafor, 24, joins the Serie A leaders on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy, as confirmed by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
“Welcome Noah,” De Laurentiis posted on X (formerly Twitter), signaling the latest addition to Napoli’s squad.
Napoli’s Urgent Search for a Kvaratskhelia Replacement
Napoli had been actively scouting replacement options after Kvaratskhelia’s high-profile move to PSG for a reported €70 million ($72 million).
The Italian club initially targeted Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Fenerbahce’s Allan Saint-Maximin but turned their attention to Okafor after failing to secure those deals.
Okafor arrives in Naples after a challenging spell at AC Milan, where he struggled for game time and form, managing just one goal in 11 Serie A appearances since joining from RB Salzburg in July 2023.
Okafor’s Role at Napoli
With Napoli leading Serie A, Okafor’s arrival is expected to boost the team’s attacking depth as they push for their second consecutive league title.
The Swiss international is known for his versatility, speed, and technical ability, traits that could help Napoli fill the void left by Kvaratskhelia.
The team currently sits three points ahead of second-placed Inter Milan, and Okafor could make his debut against Udinese on Sunday.
What’s Next for Napoli?
Napoli’s title defense remains on track, and Okafor’s performances will be closely watched as he integrates into the team.
If the former Milan forward impresses, Napoli is likely to trigger the purchase option at the end of the season.
For now, fans eagerly anticipate his impact as the club moves forward in both domestic and European competitions.
