Something strange was happening with Kenya Airways flights to Somalia. On May 30, 2024, flight KQ 362, serviced by an Embraer, was scheduled to land at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport at 15:15 but was unexpectedly canceled.
On June 1, another KQ plane on the same route left Nairobi at 14:21 after a one-hour delay. Upon reaching Mogadishu, it circled in a holding pattern for 35 minutes before returning to Nairobi without landing, even as other airlines successfully landed at Aden Adde International Airport.
On June 2, yet another KQ flight, scheduled to depart at 13:30 for Mogadishu, was also canceled. The reasons behind these disruptions remain unclear.
