MINIX has officially introduced the ER936-AI and ER937-AI, two powerful MINIX Strix Point mini PCs that blend compact design with advanced AMD technology. First unveiled at Computex 2025, these systems are now open for pre-orders, with shipping expected in early September. Prices start at $789 when applying launch coupons, making them attractive options for enthusiasts and professionals.
The ER936-AI comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 365 processor, while the ER937-AI features the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. Both chips are part of AMD’s new Strix Point lineup, built on Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and a dedicated 50 TOPS NPU for hardware-accelerated AI performance.
Each mini PC arrives fully assembled with 32GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. Barebones models are not offered at this stage. Buyers can expand memory up to 96GB via dual SODIMM slots and add up to 8TB of SSD storage through an additional M.2 2280 slot.
Design and Build
Both models share a matte black chassis measuring 140.3 x 139.6 x 56mm, maintaining portability without sacrificing cooling. The systems integrate dual fans, a vapor chamber, and a quick-release base, allowing easier upgrades for RAM and storage.
