MINIX Strix Point mini PCs have arrived, with the company unveiling the ER936-AI and ER937-AI at Computex 2025. Known for its long history in Android TV boxes and compact PCs, MINIX is now stepping into the high-performance AI-driven desktop segment with these two Ryzen-powered machines.
The MINIX ER936-AI is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365, while the ER937-AI gets a more advanced Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. Both chips are part of the AMD Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” series, featuring a mix of Zen 5 and Zen 5C cores, along with integrated Radeon RDNA 3.5 GPUs. Each processor supports up to 50 TOPS of AI performance, thanks to the dedicated NPU.
When it comes to performance, the HX 370 leads with 12 cores and 24 threads and boost speeds of up to 5.1 GHz, while the 365 variant offers 10 cores and 20 threads with a max of 5.0 GHz. On the graphics side, the ER937-AI features a Radeon 890M GPU with 16 compute units, compared to the ER936-AI’s Radeon 880M with 12 compute units.
Both mini PCs will be available with 32GB DDR5-5600 memory and 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. While each unit has a single M.2 2280 slot for storage, they include two SODIMM slots, allowing expansion up to 96GB RAM and 8TB storage.
Connectivity is another strength of these systems. They feature dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, WiFi 7 support, and the ability to power up to four external displays via two DisplayPort connectors, HDMI, and dual USB-C ports. Front-facing I/O includes USB-C, USB-A, headphone jacks, a built-in microphone, and top ventilation for cooling.
MINIX has not yet confirmed pricing or release dates for the ER936-AI and ER937-AI, but the showcase at Computex demonstrates the company’s shift into the AI-PC era. These MINIX Strix Point mini PCs are compact, Windows 11 Pro ready, and designed to deliver a strong balance of AI acceleration, CPU power, and graphics performance in a small form factor.
