Kwetu Sacco has played a major role in mobilizing savings and providing affordable credit in Machakos County. Established in 1967 as Masaku Teachers Sacco, Kwetu Sacco began with only 120 members. Today, Kwetu Sacco serves over 11,000 members drawn from teachers, non-teaching staff, public administration employees and the wider business community.
Over the years, the Sacco has expanded its services beyond traditional savings and loans. Through both BOSA and FOSA operations, Kwetu Sacco continues to promote economic empowerment among its members.
