Challenges Facing Kenyans in 2026

On the other hand, 25% of respondents expect 2026 to be worse than 2025, mainly due to fears of economic deterioration, worsening personal finances, and potential job losses. The potential for drought was also cited as a concern.

Conclusion

While many Kenyans anticipate a worsening economic outlook in 2026, there is also hope for positive change, especially in terms of job opportunities and economic recovery. The expectation of rising school fees adds to the concerns about the overall cost of living and presents a significant challenge for families.
