Kampala Queens FC, also known as the Queens of Soccer, is a Ugandan women’s football club competing in the FUFA Women Super League. The team is based in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and has emerged as one of the leading forces in women’s football in East Africa.
History
Kampala Queens FC rose to prominence during the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League season, where they dominated the competition and came close to securing the title unbeaten. They finished the season with 47 points from 18 matches, recording 15 wins, 2 draws, and just 1 loss, which came against record champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
In 2023, the club represented Uganda in the CAF Women’s Champions League, advancing to the quarter-finals where they faced CBE FC. The decisive encounter ended in a draw, leaving the Queens of Soccer just short of progressing to the semi-finals.
That same year, Kampala Queens entered a strategic partnership with KCCA FC, one of Uganda’s biggest men’s football clubs. Under the agreement, running from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026, Kampala Queens became the official women’s football club for KCCA, marking a significant step in strengthening women’s football in Uganda.
In 2024, Kampala Queens secured a two-year sponsorship deal with Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited, valued at UGX 200 million. The deal was unveiled at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, reinforcing the club’s financial stability and growth ambitions.
