Kaloleni Social Hall

Kaloleni Kenya is a small town located in Kilifi County, about 50 kilometres north of Mombasa city. Despite its proximity to Kenya’s second-largest city, Kaloleni remains one of the country’s least developed areas, grappling with poverty, food insecurity, and limited access to clean water. The town’s population includes a large number of orphans, many of whom have lost parents to AIDS. Basic infrastructure is still developing, with outside assistance playing a key role in sustaining the community.

In recent years, organizations like World Vision International have helped alleviate Kaloleni Kenya’s water issues by providing purification support. Local schools such as Kaloleni Primary School, Kaloleni Junior Academy, and St. Johns Girls Secondary School offer primary and secondary education, while St. Luke’s Mission Hospital serves an estimated 400,000 people with essential medical care. Conservation efforts have also taken root, with UNESCO declaring the nearby Kaya Forest a World Heritage Site, and local elders leading reforestation and preservation projects.
