  1. Accounting and Authorized Officer: Acts as the accounting officer for the State Law Office, overseeing financial and resource management.
  2. Policy Implementation: Implements government policies and the strategic plan for the State Law Office.
  3. Performance Management: Develops and manages a performance management system for efficient office operations.
  4. Resource Utilization: Ensures efficient use of financial, human, and other resources, submitting regular statutory reports as required.
  5. Administration: Organizes, coordinates, and manages administrative and legal functions of the State Law Office.
  6. Support to the Attorney General: Assists the Attorney General in duties as the principal legal advisor to the government.
  7. Legal Representation: Conducts and supervises all court cases, appeals, and petitions on behalf of the Attorney General.
  8. Development of Legal Services: Formulates and implements strategies for enhancing government legal services.
  9. Staff Discipline: Oversees disciplinary matters for state counsel and staff within the State Law Office.
  10. Disciplinary Tribunal Role: Serves as the alternate chairperson of the disciplinary tribunal.
  11. College of Arms: Acts as the alternate chairperson for the College of Arms.
  12. Council of Legal Education: Serves as a member of the Council of Legal Education.
  13. Pupillage Coordination: Coordinates the attachment of pupillage candidates within the State Law Office.
  14. Additional Duties: Undertakes other duties assigned by law or as directed by the Attorney General.

The Solicitor General plays a vital role in ensuring the effective administration and management of legal services within the government, supporting the Attorney General in legal advisory and judicial matters.
