How to Apply for a Food Handler Certificate in Uganda. Food handlers certificate means an authorization issued by the Secretary to a food- handler certifying that the food-handler has been examined and found to be in good health, and free of specific food-borne diseases as specified in the rules and regulations in this part.
Procedure for Applying for a Food Handler Certificate in Uganda
Apply In-Person
- Check Regulations:
- Verify with your respective state, province, or municipality for the latest updates and regulations regarding obtaining a food handler certificate.
- Prepare Medical Documentation:
- You may need to provide a blood sample and an X-ray report. Follow the respective department norms regarding submission.
- Visit the Respective Office:
- Approach either the “Uganda National Bureau of Standards” or the “Ministry of Health” office as appropriate.

- Visit the office with the required documents (both originals and copies).
- Complete the Application Form:
- Collect the application form from the office or write the application on a plain A4 sheet as advised.

- Submit the Application:

- Pay the Required Fees:

Instructions and Conditions
