The BYD Han EV, a sleek executive sedan, was available in Europe between March 2023 and December 2024. Known for its high-performance AWD drivetrain, the Han combined 380 kW (517 PS) and 700 Nm of torque to sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Its real-world electric range reached up to 475 km, powered by an 85.4 kWh usable Blade Battery using LFP chemistry and an efficient 180 Wh/km average consumption.
Charging infrastructure on the Han includes a Type 2 port with a 6.6 kW AC onboard charger and CCS fast charging up to 120 kW, enabling 10–80% charges in 44 minutes. With 800V architecture, the vehicle can charge rapidly, although Plug & Charge is not supported, and preconditioning is unavailable.
The Han’s range varies between 345 km in winter highway driving and 675 km in city summer conditions, with a WLTP rating of 521 km. It supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with up to 3.3 kW output, enabling power sharing from an external outlet.
Despite impressive specs, the BYD Han was discontinued in Europe without a direct successor, marking the end of its brief yet impactful market presence.
