The Ford Capri Extended Range RWD, launched in July 2024, is a modern electric liftback built on the VW MEB platform. It blends retro-inspired design with contemporary EV performance, offering a 77.0 kWh usable battery, a 455 km real-world range, and a peak output of 210 kW (286 PS) with 545 Nm of torque.
This rear-wheel drive Capri accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. Real-world efficiency is rated at 169 Wh/km, and in ideal mild weather conditions, the car may achieve up to 525 km combined range.
Fast charging supports up to 135 kW DC, enabling a 10–80% charge in 28 minutes. Plug & Charge is supported via ISO 15118-2, and the onboard 11 kW AC charger recharges fully in around 8h 15m. However, this model does not support bidirectional charging (V2L/V2G/V2H).
The Capri rides on a 2767 mm wheelbase, with generous 572 liters of cargo space, expanding to 1510 liters with seats folded. Although it lacks a frunk, its 9.7 m turning circle enhances city maneuverability.
Weighing 2098 kg, the Capri offers practical benefits like 1000 kg braked towing, roof rails, and two ISOFIX seats. The optional heat pump improves cold-weather efficiency, and safety is embedded through its robust EV-dedicated chassis.
