Adding a Card to Google Pay (Google Wallet): Debit or Credit Cards

Follow these steps to quickly and easily add a card to Google Wallet and use it with Google Pay:

Things to Note:

  • Prerequisite: Download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
  • Requirements: Have your debit or credit card ready to add.

Steps:

  1. Launch Google Wallet:
    • Find the app icon that resembles a wallet sleeve with multi-colored cards.
    • Open the app.
  2. Add to Wallet:
    • Tap the plus sign (+ Add to Wallet) at the bottom-right corner.
    • If not logged in, sign in using your Google account.
  3. Select Payment Card:
    • Tap the Payment Card option (usually first on the list).
    • If you’ve previously used the card, it might appear at the bottom of your screen. Otherwise, select New credit or debit card.
  4. Provide Card Details:
    • You can align the phone’s camera to your card to auto-capture its details or tap Enter details manually to input them yourself.
  5. Tap Save:
    • Once the card details are entered, tap Save.
    • Accept any prompts, and proceed to verify your payment method.
    • Choose an option like text message or email for verification, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your card will now be linked to your Google Wallet for convenient and secure payments through Google Pay!
