Follow these steps to quickly and easily add a card to Google Wallet and use it with Google Pay:
Things to Note:
- Prerequisite: Download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
- Requirements: Have your debit or credit card ready to add.
Steps:
- Launch Google Wallet:
- Find the app icon that resembles a wallet sleeve with multi-colored cards.
- Open the app.
- Add to Wallet:
- Tap the plus sign (
+ Add to Wallet
) at the bottom-right corner. - If not logged in, sign in using your Google account.
- Tap the plus sign (
- Select Payment Card:
- Tap the Payment Card option (usually first on the list).
- If you’ve previously used the card, it might appear at the bottom of your screen. Otherwise, select
New credit or debit card
.
- Provide Card Details:
- You can align the phone’s camera to your card to auto-capture its details or tap
Enter details manually
to input them yourself.

- Tap Save:
- Once the card details are entered, tap Save.
- Accept any prompts, and proceed to verify your payment method.
- Choose an option like text message or email for verification, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Your card will now be linked to your Google Wallet for convenient and secure payments through Google Pay!
