You can use Netflix gift cards to pay for Netflix or to give as a gift. Netflix gift cards can be purchased at various retail locations and online.
- Gift cards do not expire, which is printed on the back of each card.
- Gift cards are non-refundable. Once a Netflix gift card is applied to an account, you can watch Netflix until the gift card balance runs out.
- Gift cards cannot be reloaded.

- Go to netflix.com/redeem.
- Find the code by scratching the foil off the back of your card gently with a coin.
- If you have a digital gift card, the code is on the email.
- If you have a code on receipt, the code is on your receipt.
- Enter the code and select the Redeem button.
- Enter the email address associated with your account, or to create a new account.
- A confirmation screen will appear, then you can Start Watching or Start Membership.
The gift card balance is added to your account and your next payment will be taken from the balance. We will send an email reminder 7 days before your balance runs out.
Follow these steps if you can’t redeem a Netflix gift card or the gift card is damaged.Redeem multiple Netflix gift cards
You can redeem multiple gift cards on netflix.com/redeem. Your available balance will increase with each gift card you add. Once you’ve redeemed your gift card, you can check your available balance on the Billing Details or Membership page.
Note:Multiple gift cards are consumed one at a time in the order they were redeemed. This may result in two gift card charges that add up to your monthly plan price: one partial charge to consume the final balance of an older gift card, and a second partial charge on a newer gift card.
Follow these steps if you can’t redeem a Netflix gift card or the gift card is damaged.Redeem a Netflix gift card purchased in a different country
You can use a gift card purchased in a different country as long as the gift card is in the same currency as your Netflix bill.Check your gift card balance
- To check the balance on your Netflix gift card, go to netflix.com/redeem.
- Find the code by scratching the foil off the back of your card gently with a coin.
- If you have a digital gift card, the code is on the email.
- If you have a code on receipt, the code is on your receipt.
- Enter the code and select the Redeem button. Your gift card balance will display on the next screen.
Unless you have another payment method on file, you can watch Netflix until the entire amount on the gift card is used. We’ll remind you when the balance is getting low.
- If you want to keep watching Netflix, simply add another gift card or payment method before your balance runs out.
- If you change plans, it will change the rate at which the available balance is used.
- If you cancel your account, you can keep watching Netflix until your gift card balance runs out. Gift cards are non-refundable.
Once you’ve redeemed your gift card, you can check your available balance on theBilling Details or Membership page.
Why is my balance end date estimated?
This date is estimated because the amount taken from your gift balance each month can change if you switch plans or local taxes and fees fluctuate. The date displayed in your Account page will update with the most current information.Gift cards and third-party billing
You can apply a gift card to your account if you pay through a third party, except if you pay through Apple or if you have a Netflix-included package.
- If you pay through Apple and want to use a Netflix gift card, you will need to cancel your Netflix account, wait until it closes, then restart it with your gift card.
- If you have a Netflix-included package, you can save the gift card and use it when your account is no longer linked to a package, or you can apply it to a different Netflix account.
Release an account hold with a gift card
Follow the steps to redeem your Netflix gift card.
If the gift card amount does not cover the cost for a full month of your current plan, we will prorate the account for the number of days it covers.
Once you redeem the gift card, it can take up to 60 minutes for the hold to be removed.
