Uzbekistan Visa Policy

Visa-Free Countries

  1. Up to 90 Days:
    • Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.
  2. Up to 60 Days:
    • Kyrgyzstan.
  3. Up to 30 Days:
    • EU Member States, UK, USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Turkey, and several others.
  4. 7 Days (by air):
    • China, including Hong Kong.

Transit Visa-Free (5 Days)

Travelers from specific countries can transit visa-free for up to 5 days when flying in and out of Uzbekistan.


Types of Uzbekistan Visas

  1. eVisa (Online Visa):
    • For eligible countries, allows stays of up to 30 days.
    • Valid for single or multiple entries.
  2. Tourist Visa:
    • Traditional visa issued through embassies for tourism purposes.
  3. Transit Visa:
    • Allows transit through Uzbekistan for up to 72 hours.
  4. Work, Study, Family, and Private Visas:
    • Require sponsorship and additional documentation.

How to Apply for an Uzbekistan Visa

1. Uzbekistan eVisa

Eligible nationals can apply online:

  • Processing Time: 2–3 days.
  • Cost: $20.
  • Documents Required:
    • Passport scan (valid for at least 6 months).
    • Passport-sized photo (JPEG format).

Steps:

  1. Complete the application on the official eVisa website.
  2. Upload required documents.
  3. Pay the visa fee online.
  4. Receive the eVisa via email, print it, and carry it while traveling.

2. Embassy Visa

For travelers not eligible for the eVisa or requiring a longer stay:

    • Required through the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    • Sponsor could be an individual, company, or tour agency.
  2. Submit Embassy Application:
    • Documents Required:
      • Passport.

      • Passport-sized photos (2 copies).
      • Visa confirmation letter from the MFA.
    • Processing Time: ~10 days for confirmation and additional time for embassy processing.
    • Visa Fee: Based on visa type and duration.

3. Visa on Arrival

Available at Tashkent International Airport only with prior visa confirmation from the Uzbek MFA.

    • Up to 15 days: $50.
    • Up to 30 days: $60.
    • Up to 1 year (multiple entry): $250.
